This classic comedy follows three scientists as they start up a business where they are basically exterminators, but instead of getting rid of bugs, they get rid of ghosts in New York City. Though at first they are looked down upon, and are assumed to be liars, they eventually have to go toe to toe with an ancient ghost that wants to take over the world. Will the Ghostbusters be able to bust this ghost, or will they get busted themselves? Since 1984, there have been many technological advances in the movie industry that allows us to now have amazing special effects in movies. Though the movie’s special effects haven’t aged too well with today’s standards, the movie has an amazing plot, great character development, and overall a memorable movie experience. Led by comedic legends such as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Rick Moranis, Ghostbusters introduced us to the start of a franchise that is still recognizable to this very day. Hollywood tried to make a reboot of this franchise back in 2016, however, that movie was so bad that it doesn’t deserve to share the same name as the 1984 classic. So if there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who you going call? I don’t know about you, but I am definitely calling Bill Murray to get him to make another one, despite him constantly refusing to make a third one.
